I don't like this proposal.  Thorin is not a hero killer for one, so this ability doesn't fit.  I also don't think an ability should be able to outright kill a hero in one shot.  Balancing the ability with chance is never a good way of doing things.

The miss chance has something to do with how he could not hit anything in the movies, and I mean EVER; but if he did hit something for once, don't you think he would of killed it instantly? Look how close the arrow went to Thranduil's head  :D

yea and they made thranduil in the movies such a jerk that i wanted thorin not to miss the shot

Well first of all in the forest he was dizzy and thata why missed !And second he missed Thranduil on purpose,it was a warning shot! :-) And every hero shooting an arrow could have killed anyone if he hits him the head so it is not like only Thorin can but others too like Faramir,Cathean,Aranarth,Lurtz and etc. You get my point! :-)
