Eastereggs Translation

(1/3) > >>

The_Necromancer0:
Could someone please translate the following easteregss? I know that there are many software that allow such a thing but the chances of losing the actual meaning of the easter egg could cause the riddle to become invalid. I'm not asking for a how to guide just a translation that retains the hints hidden in the text. I've rough translated some of them using various websites and they keepy coming up with different stuff, so I'm having quite a hard time.

Thanks in advanced to whomever will translate these.  xD

Gotyam:
Just to say, I have done google translate as a basis, and just fixed it up to proper english using the little knowledge I have of German :P
------------------------------------------------------------
Easter egg 1:
I can be  with the enemy, alone,
And in the last valley I will fight.
Will I be able to defend the hill in the valley,
Or will it be taken by that very red eye?------------------------------------------------------------
Easter egg 2:
The once a mystery to me:
Even for sons Durin it gets cold,
When they smell the scent of being lost alone.
The ice causing dreadful memories to them.
Already they begin to tremble------------------------------------------------------------
Easter egg 3:
They came to the land, to slay the dreadful brood,
So that the land would be free of evil.
But they were alone in the country, far in the north.
Where the craftiest of enemies wanderes.

Of the creatures of Middle-earth, they are the most tenacious,
Marked by bravery and courage.
As they fight close to their homeland,
They have not lost their hearts' glow.

Cornered, their family helps them in their time of need,
And so they are struggling side by side.
But the battle ends abruptly.
The water's color is already red.

They endured great suffering,
They endured great anger,
Even though they've had long battles
Soon the large flood of enemies begins------------------------------------------------------------
Easter egg 4:
Where a small nation meets the elderly
The White strode into a green land.
In rainbows he rode forth,
After from a golden pitcher he drank------------------------------------------------------------
Easter egg 5:
The dark towers houses it,
In the dark forest it has lived,
Always willing to commit its evil.
It wakes up in towers far and wide,
Infesting the lands as gloomy festivals demons.
These are dark signs for the people------------------------------------------------------------

If the Edain team allows it, I might give further advice to some of them (like a selection af possible maps :) )

The_Necromancer0:
Thanks so much for your help, I'll put them on the wiki  xD

Gnomi:
No direct map names. Hints like the riddles are okay, but if something is too obvious we'll delete it.^^

Concerning the translated riddles: Please also note that sometimes the language is important - f.e. the first riddle was not written in german, even though it was in a german topic, so this could also be a hint. ;)

--- Ende Zitat ---

Seems like the english community will get a harder time solving the riddles then ;)
