In French we've got an expression which says "Plus c'est gros, plus ça passe". I don't know how to translate it properly but you could say "The bigger/more unbelievable it [the joke] is, the easier people think it is real". The fact is, it works very well :D

More seriously I could think about some heroes getting the ring like Aragorn, Legolas, Thorin, Haldir of course  (**), or Thranduil. But I wouldn't create a post just to say "I WANT MORE RINGHEROES JUST GIVE US RINGHEROES PLZ"  [uglybunti]

There are threads like that in this forum, and, unfortunately, it was not April's Fool day when they were created. Especially, if you browse the Dwarven Section, you will find some  :D

Nevertheless, this topic won't have a long future.
