Update to 4.3.1 freezing. Mod rendered unplayable afterwards.

I tried again and it got through four updates.  This all seems so random 

Canis, what did you do to fix it after the timeout.

Nothing at all... just pushed "ok" in the error and then, by it's own, it continued downloading. It was just... magic. I can't explain it, I might be the chosen one.

Did it continue immediately or did you have to wait a bit first?

Continued almost inmediately, between the 1st and 2nd file. I was going to press "update" again, but it just started loading spontaneously.

For seemingly no reason, I didn't get a time out this time and the download worked completely and I now have a fully updated mod.  So thank you very much Turin for your help, I really appreciate it.  And thanks as well to Canis for basically just getting me to try again and again. 

This thread can be locked since the issue is solved, if that is appropriate.

Wow, its so weird to me too. I have no idea what is causing these problems honestly. 
But never mind, you can play the latest update now, so i am fine.

How do you guys manage to update? Is it trial and error or plain luck? I really need a proper fix or perhaps a manual patch download. I have the same errors but unfortunately i just can't fix it like you guys did. Please help been here all day.

I downloaded and installed the files previously mentioned. The problem is, the launcher downloads the 4 out of 6 parts of the patch and it stopped there. I left it sitting there after 3 hours and nothing happened. Did the same process thrice and the same result. Stuck at 4 of 6 patch. I have to kill the Launcher using task manager. If there's a download link to the latest patch i would rather patch it manually. Thank you and i appreciate any help i can get.

Now it gives me this error Exception Message: Object Reference not set to an instance of an object.

Well, if you downloaded the file posted on the last page from my dropbox and copied it to the rise of the witchking folder folder, then you should get a message which server is selected when you click on update. What does it say?

Just out of curiosity, and if you don't mind me asking, what made the launcher you posted here different than the one that is commonly downloaded? I saw that it is slightly larger in size but didn't notice any huge difference.

The size difference is due to integration of the first few images for the Submod section.
By the way: the link is updated now. So the messages should not appear anymore.

Well, good morning everyone! I apologize for the delayed reply it's 5:35 AM here (Philippines).

@helloa2134: I've been monitoring this thread and not bothering trying to figure it out myself, following everything. I can assume what i got is the same as everyone else's. It is just weird that i haven't had this problems patching/installing since version 3.8 until 4.3. (Some minor bumps but..) Yes, and i noticed the difference in size.

I also released 1.2.0.3, please try that one first. It might fix it too.
