Antique Lyrics of Arda

Walküre:
Sword, thou shalt glow in danger

Sword, thou art crafted with the means of the Noldor's kind,
The mightiest in this deed and mastery of forging we have learnt,
So that our nature is in thee in equal way, whose fashion none may mirror nor imitate,
Thou shalt thus glow in danger, for thou can sense the fell soul and its cursed nature battle.

Walküre:
Whom he loatheth

He tried once, before Time and Space,
To approach her and seek for her friendship,
She declined and him rejected,
And hatred shall be between them unto the end of times.

He loatheth her and the light she beareth,
And she was the first one to fathom his very nature and the roots of the Evil in him to recognise,
Snow-white Varda his deeds shall always in Eä oppose,
And the prowess of the mightiest Power shall pierce darkness and cleanse shadows on its path.

Walküre:
Will I be the same?

Will I be the same, Gandalf? Will I remain the humble soul that fancies the hearth and the warmth of my home?

Aye and nay, gentle Bilbo, for thy spirit at life shall always rejoice, yet adventure all moveth and the ways of the World make one wise about the most diverse things.

Walküre:
Fiery Locks

Fiery locks wonder and borders keep safe,
For centuries the guard has been staunch and well awake,
Yet freedom she loves in equal terms and much would fain the outside wonders unearth,
For the outer wilderness her heart nourishes with passion, to fight the good cause and never to abject ones to bow.

Walküre:
Honour, only this we have left

Men could suffer wounds and unspeakable pain,
Yet they are ever-resilient by nature and none of their efforts is in the end vain,
The common man loves life even in adversity, with kind company of wife, son and daughter,
And the human genre shall remain to endure, as its fate is not to pass beyond the water.
