Antique Lyrics of Arda
Walküre:
One doth not have might over what shall be...
The very first Elven inhabitants of Aman, once their journey had finally come to an end, were told by the Valar that one could never have total control of things, albeit having the chance to be author of great deeds.
This is an excerpt from the Conversations in Doriath RPG.
One doth not have might over what shall be, yet much thou can and do, when will is kindled and thy heart pure.
Walküre:
The Stainless White is no more
The Stainless White is no more,
For he to his longings gave in and forswore who he was before,
Yet his robes dim or darker are not,
As many colours now spread and his true character disclose.
Walküre:
Mithrandir, thou fell and hope too...
Mithrandir, thou fell and hope too,
Cast into the flames and shadows of Arda's caverns,
While fighting of the elder times the most dreadful legacy,
Who shall now guide resistance and with thy mercy hope rekindle?
Walküre:
A prayer for Manwë
This weary world much suffers and had to face,
May the King of all be ever-watchful upon his forbidden throne,
From which naught he ignores nor forgets,
Summoning his heralds and them sending across the surfaces of existence.
Walküre:
Lament for Isildur
Of a noble house the last,
Of the duel with the Dark Lord the lone mortal survivor,
By the Evil's snares trapped and bound,
He lastly succumbed and his proud rule forever vanished.
