Runes of the Ancient Days

This seven-player map takes place in a mountainous region, each player starting out in camps that are within big caves in the mountains, and each of them having a single entrance for getting in and out. Outside of the caves, there's some rocky lands to traverse through, with goblin lairs, and a couple of fire drakes and cave trolls. Each player's settlement can be easily defended since there's only one mouth of their cave—the challenge is that when they send their troops outside of the caves, they're in the plateau to face monsters and each-other.

However, there's a catch to this map. In the caves where each player starts out, there is a special monolith of chiseled rock with runes inscribed on it. Each of these monoliths are imbued with ancient power of the dwarves, and whosoever controls them are empowered. Hence, the monoliths are activated or captured by having the most troops in that area nearby the monolith. Each player's cave has one monolith, and each monolith has an effect on that player's units and buildings.

The monolith powers of the seven monoliths are as follows: double building and soldier hitpoints, double building and soldier training rate/movement rate, double unit and building damage, double halves spellbook powers cooldown timer, doubled production and command point rates for resource buildings, doubled hero unit strength (health, damage, armor, speed, etc), and halved hero unit ability cooldown timers.

The objective is for one player to gain the full power of the ancient dwarven runes by capturing and controlling all of the monoliths in these caverns. With each player defeated, the victor can assume control of that player's monolith by sending a battalion or two of units to guard it.
