Gameplay experience
« am: 11. Sep 2019, 19:51 »
Hi, guys!

1.)   I want to share a gameplay idea with you. The units in bfme 1 & 2 have only 1 or 2 fighting actions and styles. If you can make them between 5 to 10 for each unit and they use them randomly, the armies, while fighting, will look awesome and cool. This doesn't implies on archers, as they shoot arrows which are shooted in a single style. This mostly implies on swordsmen.

2.)   And if the units, after dying, will not disappear after only a couple of seconds, the battle field will look more epic with corpses lying around! Only if corpses could stay on battle field for 2 to 3 minutes the battle will look awesome.

I hope you will consider a  supporter's suggestion, worth working. 😉
Respect your work ♥

Welcome to the forum!

1.) Creating several new attack animations for every unit, monster and hero would be a huge amount of work. While it would most certainly be a great addition, it's just not realistic.

2.) Even if the corpses would stay only 30 seconds instead of two minutes, it would put a lot of strain on the engine and cause massive lags and delays for the players. Unfortunately, BfME is a very old game at this point, and it didn't age well from a technological point of view. This is why multiplayer matches are usually played on low graphics settings, but you can also notice it in the singleplayer with factions like Mordor.
