Here is an interesting question that makes one ponder what the Edain Mod would be like without these movies.

Would the Misty-Mountains, Ered Luin and Iron Hills factions cease to exist? How drastically different would they be?

Would Thranduil use his bow still? Would Beorn and Radagast still appear as heroes? Would Mirkwood still be the Tanky Sub-Faction it is? Would Dol Guldur still be the venomous Sub-Faction they are?

Just how much of this wonderful mod would change? It would no doubt still be incredible - the Edain team and community have proven they do not need the films to create Factions and heroes - but how different would they be?

Pretty much all of that was part of Edain before the Hobbit movies came out.

Dwarves:
Ered Luin would be the tanky subfaction of the dwarves and had Oin, Dwalin, Thorin, Bilbo and Ori as heroes.
Erebor would be the damaged based subfaction and have the same heroes as now.
Iron Hills would be the speed based subfaction and would have the same heroes as now.
Balin would be part of the Travelling Camp and Khazad Veterans.

Misty Mountains
MM would still have 3 subfactions, but without the Defiler or any of the other new heroes from the Hobbit. Also Goblin-town might be cavalry based, while Gundabad has more infantry.

Lothlorien
Mirkwood would go back to being the more stealth based subfaction of Lorien, but might be implemented slightly differently because their current implementation might not work that well for that.
Thranduil would be ranged again, but would also have a melee attack.

Both Beorn and Radagast would likely still end up similarly to the current version. Beorn was added to Lorien because without an Inn he didn't fit anywhere into the dwarven faction anymore except the spellbook.

And Radagast was removed as Rohan's ring hero and thus was free to go to Lorien. He probably wouldn't have his Rabbit-Sledge though.

Mordor
Mordor would likely be pretty much unchanged, except that the Necromancer wouldn't have his fire-form.
