Released from Electronic Arts, source: Electronic Arts Middle-earth announcement
"Fellow adventurers, It is with a heavy heart that we come to you today. After a long time of Middle-Earth mayhem and fun, we are saddened to let you know that the games within this franchise will no longer be available for purchase, and online servers will no longer be active after December 31st 2010 at midnight PST.
We hope you've enjoyed the Battle for Middle-Earth franchise as much as we have.
Please visit commandandconquer.com and EA.com for access to EA's other strategy titles and a glimpse into what we're working on next."
No word.It's finished.
We'll have to use other means to play online, like we already do,or buy a new server. That's all.
