in the past couple of days (well since the release) I was working on converting my map Carn Dum Reforged to work with Edain 4.0 system.
I must say, I'm proud of the results so far :)
Anyway, I also took the chance to introduce some enhancements to the map which I think they're very much needed. I'm looking forward for your feedback xD

Looks great! A true stronghold of the Witch-king. Great to see an Angmar fortress with garrisonable walls like Minas Tirith or Helm's Deep.
I noticed there are only 8 build plots within the fortress which seems a bit low. Two more behind the outer wall would fit the space nicely, I think.
Keep up the good work :)
Edit: Did you add build options for postern gates in the outer wall? It would be great to have those. Also, the number of settlements for the besieging players outside the fortress seems a bit low. Other than that, I think it's an awesome map! :)

If you can notice from the larger screenshots (finally got them to work!) the outer wall is not yet finished. I'm planing to put a couple more plots behind the wall as you've said ;)

I never actually thought about postern gates. the thing is the wall is rather short. so a postern gate would basically be a main gate that the enemy can't pass :/
I'm thinking to expand the map a little bit south, so the attacker can have more space to maneuver. and maybe fit in a couple more settlements.
However, I think I'll stay on one outpost to balance out the attackers.
I think of it this way: the defender would probably have ~10 build plots. while the attackers together they would have 12 plots + the settlements + the outpost.

It looks quite promising, but with so much open space it is a bit difficult to give proper feedback. I will gladly do so when you are finished though ;)

I'm still not content with the citadel, and I wouldn't mind some suggestion about what to do with the space behind the wall.
I'm very proud with the main gate (It's just magnificent [uglybunti] ), and the smoking cave next the left stairway is where the reinforcements would come and go (I found that some sort of a tunnel for off-map reinforcements would suit the mountainous style of the map very well.

I like how you implement the reinforcements, sounds like a pretty cool idea. Have you thought about putting some neutral Angmar buildings behind the wall to fill the open space? I. e. some wolf pits or barracks would fit the fortress theme, you'd just have to make sure they don't allow you to recruit units. You could also add some sort of hierarchy by putting a sorcerer building (don't know the english name, sorry^^) and/or barracks at the raised levels and maybe some orc buildings at the lower levels.
Also, are you going to add some stuff outside of the fortress or is that part finished?
Overall it looks pretty sweet already, although I would like some sort of alternative route to get into/out of the fortress, not just the main gate.

Hey hoho96 I have some suggestions about the map, mostly the citadel:
You can make a citadel similar to the Carn dum citadel from Lord of the Rings War in the North (https://c2.staticflickr.com/8/7560/16244335575_1379def9fd_b.jpg) by enlarging an Angmar wall hub and placing some other structures in the middle of it, between the 3 "teeth".
Or, if you don't like War in the North's interpretation of Carn Dum, maybe you can make the Carn dum citadel similar to the Carn dum castle in Lord of the Rings Online.
These are just ideas though :D

I always wanted to see War in the North's and Lotro's Carn dum implemented in BFME2 maps.
You can make the map to be LOTRO's Carn Dum, but you should add that kind of 'PJ movies' feeling (War in the North had it); I like a bit more Carn dum from Lotro as it looks more evil, and I hope you can make your map a bit more like it, but add that movies feeling ;)

Also if you would make your Carn Dum map more like in Lotro (but with movies feeling xD ) maybe you can make the citadel look like in this concept art: https://masteroflore.files.wordpress.com/2015/02/carn-dum-e1424630198776.jpg (it looks cooler than ingame; or make your Carn Dum citadel a mixture of the one ingame in Lotro and the one from the concept art)?

Aside from this being the wrong board for such a request, i for one don't have interest in such a map, and we have currently several projects going on that would take some time to finish like the first map pack (with "we" i mean me and dr.house).
Also after i finish this map, i was thinking to try my hand in making a singleplayer scenario which would actually be my first :P
any practical suggestion is very welcomed :D

Well the last beta broke the World Builder, soooo [ugly]
After a horrible accident when I uped for Win10 I deleted the map 8-| then I started to work on it again.
My only major issue is time. Between a major exam next saturday, and keeping up with the community here, and participating in a sort of tournament in my World of Tanks community (wot-uni),... oh well, you get the picture :(
BUT it just need some little final touches and the map will be ready for a first release, hopefully as soon as I get the damn world builder to work :D

Due to some unfortunate events, my pc can no longer run bfme. However Freduse now have the map, and will make a scripted mission with it, so stay tuned ;)
