No, I would never dare judge your real life, don't worry. I always keep the two things separate, as I and all the other ones have our own busy life to care about. My judgement is instead purely based on anything that happens in this forum and, as I told you, there is ample material at disposal, in that it's really not the first harsh reply that I get; there is no need to stalk you, being these boards public. Moderators do have to develop a quite keen sight and memory, because that is our own duty. A moderator who doesn't observe or remember is a useless one. And this is not a loose place without some sorts of customs to follow, nor is it a free outlet where everyone can spout the first thing they think about, regardless of rules and of the quality of such thoughts. Given that this space is indeed public and made to cater for other users, you must necessarily conduct yourself properly; this is what real life has also taught me.

The point of that old saying is that intelligent people don't need essays to understand. And I do deem you an intelligent person, and that's why I'm always puzzled when you suddenly come out with such replies. Do you really think that is a proper way to conduct real and such important discussions? It doesn't do justice to you and your activity here; we did have our own misunderstandings, back then, when I was personally and unjustly attacked, but I thought we had managed to settle things with your coming here. I'm not the only one who saw something wrong and if you need more recent facts (a couple of months ago), just browse your suggestion regarding Goblins (you must not have forgotten that): you felt personally attacked for receiving negative feedback (yet backed by the relative explanations) and said that you would no longer waste your time here.

You made up your mind, I'm glad that you did, but things don't seem to have changed. When someone tries to counter your points, you either rage or leave those snide passive-aggressive remarks, of no avail for the topic. If you can't seem to realise this, I don't know what else I should say. I've always been more than courteous with you, in numerous occasions, but this cannot go on forever. This is indeed a place where people meet and have fun, yet not in a context of anarchy. Many have endeavoured greatly for their concepts and thus don't deserve such behaviour; you should know this well, as you crafted concepts yourself. That's the thing I can't fathom. I've already told you what I think about it in your old thread. It may still be read, if your memory needs to be rekindled.

From now on, if you want to discuss matters further, just message me. The general discussion of the thread can go on and will go forward.

"Clever Ones need very few words." Yep.

I find it interesting how you try to site evidence about a person you have never met in real life--frankly, it is kinda odd.

Do you stalk me on these forums?

You can't make assumptions about someones character traits based off a gaming forum. I can tell you converse with a lot of people online as opposed to real life, and I find it sad that you are so easily triggered by someone's comments online.

I agree, so feel free to back out anytime, I have said nothing wrong or insulting. Unlike you.

Feigning innocence does not really suit you, but it doesn't matter. I don't need you to recognise your faults, as you might not realise that in the first place. It is something referring not to insults, but rather to your general behaviour in discussions and how you can, sometimes, get quite unpleasant, especially when it comes to getting to grips with other people's opinions. There is ample evidence of that and I've already told you all that needs to be known, when you had announced your departure from the forum. I don't have to spend more time in illustrating things with other long and boring essays. Hereafter, should necessity require it, I shall adopt a more pragmatic line.

And I shall rest with that old Latin saying: Intelligentibus pauca (''Clever ones need very few words'').

So how long then? Same length of time as Saruman's ability? I might go for that.

In this mundane and whimsical forum of ours, as you once branded it, people gather together and try to find shared compromises. This is what debating is all about and you know this very well. Hence, you might try to avoid coming up with other replies of the kind that is shown in previous passages. Not only do they not contribute to the topic, but they also frustrate the activity of those who are genuinely interested in finding solutions. Some people might lose patience and stop appeasing your voluble temper. I know you can be much more creative, when you really want to.

I don't think you can read into my logic. How presumptuous.

Besides, if you don't like me or if I irritate you in some ways, it's totally fine. No one is compelled or forced to interact with every member of the community. It is not via compulsion that bonds blossom and prosper. Only, there are forum rules that need to be respected and customary norms that ensure a pleasant environment to be established. In any case, whether you like it or not, I have so much respect for Aulë and for all the work he has poured into this proposal, and that's why I assure you that this thread shall not be held hostage of a single unstable person.

If I was so attached to the lore, I would still be complaining about Smaug being a ring hero when in the books it says that he can't use any of his treasure (a brass ring of it). States that in the Hobbit.

So I don't think I am stuck on the lore. I am stuck on balance though, and that is why I said what I said.

Balance is important too. But, I think taking into account the power of the heroes and setting a proper duration time of the hypnotic state we can reach a good equilibrium, together with a fun to play ability  ;)
