Hi Edain Team! I was playing local War of the Ring with my brother and we noticed a weird bug. I was the host player playing as Lothlórien and he had joined the game as my Imladris ally. So, I had Celeborn and he had Elrond enter the Fangorn map in Real Time against a Saruman and Sharku AI. The thing is that, after the battle started, my brother was defeated in a manner of seconds for no particular reason. Then the battle ended and we could again play Real Time on the same map, in the same turn (with the bug still appearing). This happens only in the War of the Ring mode and not in Skirmish. We didn't encounter this bug before 4.5.3.

P.S. Thanks for fixing the Arnor/Angmar maps. :)

I've noticed that a medium AI Isengard, if attacking Erebor and you're defending as Dwarves, will only focus it's attack on the neutral destructible structures (like houses and fountains).
  A suggestion for a possible fix would be to make these structures non-destructible and non-attackable.
  (Incidentally, I've noticed this happens with other AI factions outside of WOTR mode, too.)

I never realized until now that those civilian buildings at Erebor actually provide small amounts of resources! So I understand better why the AI targets them. Nevertheless, the number of them causes their attacks to be focused on them for far too long, and they focus on them exclusively, even when I try to attack them, so that they almost never retaliate as long as those structures are up, allowing an easy victory almost every time over this AI.

If you play as Mordor in WOTR mode, on the map Minas Morgul, against a medium Gondor AI, and you try to use the summon that lets you bring in Easterlings, the Easterlings do not appear anywhere, even with enough CP. (I've also noticed this can happen on a non-WOTR mode on this map and on other maps, though unfortunately I never bothered to note which ones.)

As Mordor in WOTR mode, against a medium Gondor AI, attacking Dol Guldur you get the same problem of trying to summon in Easterlings, but also Southrons, even with enough CP.  I was able to summon in Southrons at one point, but only after a failed effort--and then without Mumakil. Another time I had a failed Easterling summon, I was able to see the fog of war removed where the troops were supposed to come in from, but only heard their voices that you hear by default without selecting them. I tried to select possible invisible units, but it didn't register the units at all. It's like they appeared offscreen or something.

Looking at this problem a little closer, if you press the Select All Units button (Q for me) you can see the highlights of the units' bases offscreen (the colored circles that appear around the bottom of units when they're selected). If you command all units to an area on the map, then they come out from beyond the map.

I played as Erebor against a medium level AI Isengard in WOTR and noticed a couple major issues. Several times the AI did not build on any build plots at all, so that, obviously, as soon as I got rid of their troops they lost pretty quickly. Other times, though, certain areas would cause them to lose when I took out their troops even if they had a citadel and barracks built. The most unfortunate example of all, though, was when I attacked their capital, Isengard. The AI had two large armies with two captains, one captain and it's army as reinforcements, of course. I had three.  I attacked, they sent out all of their first army, and as soon as I wiped them out I won.... I never even got past Isengard's walls, let alone destroyed Orthanc.

The ai has some problems in the current wotr, but these things will get fixed in 4.6

Gotcha. Can't wait to see the WOTR overhaul!

I also noticed that when you bring in a large army with Erebor on the Isengard fortress map in WOTR mode against a medium Isengard AI, a large number are offscreen no different than the problem I listed above with Mordor's reinforcements. So, if you hit Q, you're able to select them and bring them into battle for Erebor, but that seems to be the only way. Not exactly sure how many units I had, but enough to max out the limit for one captain, anyways.

playing as Isengard

1)the siege training building is represented by the armory and has the armory description of providing upgrades, also all the unit descriptions in the building are replaced by the ballista description

2)i got almost all of the real time made units (about 20 in 2 battles) for free, basically only paid for the custom hero and a couple of hunters here and there

3)not sure what happened but after a real time battle i had a bunch of 1 man hunter units? like, with a single model in the unit...

4)not sure if shield units are intended to count as an upgrade carried over from real time to campaign (did not pay for them either, see 2), but they did, and turned the "spear" unit designation symbol of pikemen into a "bow"

edit: not sure if relevant, but i will mention that while i have the latest update according to the launcher and also got the 4gb patch (because i had a previous crash and it seems to have fixed it) and changing settings does affect the game (changed resolution though launcher), i can not start the game using the launcher, only through the rotwk game icon shortcut that was created when i downloaded the rotwk game, though the mod does work and on the starting loading screen displays "edain 4.5" (should be patch 4.5.5)

Hello, I've been facing a bug on war of the ring were whenever I launch an attack with many troops, more than half don't show up, while keeping their cp cost. The army leaders also spawn out of the screen and can only be selected through their icon, and will be unselected in barely a second. For example, while playing with mordor, any troop beyond some orcs like trolls, mumakills and catapults would stay beyond the edge of the map, including the army leader and sauron. Also, any reinforcement power on these situations would take the cp space, but would not spawn on the map - perhaps they are behind all those troops who didn't entered the map.

The mission 2,3 and 4 of the new Good campaign crash when I click on "real time battle" I come back on the desktop with a message of error concerning an unkonwn command "command_SpellbookDwarven RuneProductivity"
The missions 1, and 5 to 8 work well

Did you install the hotfix through the Edain Launcher? If yes and it still crashes, are you using any submods?

Good Campaign - Dol Guldur

1. You can have 2 Elronds at the same time - one is given to you at the start of the map, the other can be "revived" from citadel.
2. CP during the mission changes - first it raises to 2000 max, then at some point drops to 1000 and at the end it raises up to 2000 again.
3. When the "Mordor counterattack" timer expires, there are no units summoned and noone attacks you.
4. After waiting for a long time (right after "Mordor counterattack") the message pops up "The player forfeits this region to your superior might" and all Dol Guldur structures are destroyed, all their summoned units (f.e. Balrog) are hostile.
5. Not sure if this is intended but i can't use spellbok during this mission.

In campaign, the untamed alliegance couldn't be targeted properly on the summoned lair, and I got back the points invested in that power on every new game.

To be clear, in case the names aren't the right ones, I'm speaking about the 3 power left branch spellbook power. Despite buying it I got my points and no spell on every new game, AND in the game, the summoning of a wild lair worked but I couldn't make the lair mine by using the second power.

in the evil campaign the drake finding mission has several slightly weird things :

- you can recruit molok from the outpost troll's cage building
- the objectives / bonus objectives buttons don't work or don't display the right objective (the bonus objective didn't show anything despite having beforehand received the objective to destroy all dwarven mines, and the main objective mentioned I needed to bring 10 dragons to the dragon king when precedent objective was to find its lair)
- you can't take control of the lairs you summon with gobbos 3pp spell (but can control the wild wargs lairs)
- The mission is a success as soon as you reach the dragon king lair despite the precedent objective button mentioning you have to bring it 10 dragons (which would btw have been quite annoying if you didn't show beforehand you needed to keep these alive)
- also, when you reach it, the animation showed me 2 Mouth of sauron

In the evil campaign the erebor mission crashed the game without any error after a bit of time (I didn't chase the carts if that helps, and I had taken the top left outpost). The mordor cage there allowed to recruit the dark marshal, and I did recruit him, and he came out level 0.

The bottom left outpost isn't buildable on, and the summoned wild lairs don't attack you, but can't be taken control of either.

During the Good Campaing, Dol Goldur Mission, it's possibile to have two Elronds on the map (one per default and one via the Citadel).

I was playing as Mordor, defending Minas Morgul against Misty Mountains.
When I destroyed their last building (It was tunnel) so I won, the second after the game crashes.
It happened multiple times (It always happened), bacause I saved the game before it crashed.

Are you sure you are playing on 4.6.1? This crash was fixed in the latest patch.

Hello  !

Few bugs with the Misty Mountains faction in War of the Ring:

-Moria outpost cost 250 and that price doesn't rise as it do for Gundabad and Goblintown with the increasing number of outpost created. That make the expansion of the Misty Mountains almost inextinguible.

-Azog is not a recruitable right away in Gundabad even if he is not the Head of any army.
That makes getting production building to level 3 very hard. Bolg is very important in that matter.

As production buildings get to level 2 easily, could it be possible in War of the Ring to find another way to get them to level 3 if the player hasn't got either Bolg, Azog, or the Chieftain ? Such as after the construction of the 4th outpost or something like that ?

Moria-Durin campaign in War of the Ring: The last level (lvl 5) does not appear, I automatically win the campaign every time after finishing the lvl 4 (2nd Moria map, the one where you have to seal the tunnels). Both with Edain in English and German

Good Campaign is broken for me on Edain 4.6. I was playing on Hard and, at the Dol Goldur mission, the enemy forfeited the match before the Mordor host arrived. Now I can't win the match or forfeit it myself.
The enemy forfeited in another couple of missions as well, but the game automatically assigned the victory to my faction.

Auto defeat, on edoras fortress map in WoTR and auto victory in isengard.

Heroic units and semi heroics aren't limited. Heroes if killed cannot be revived(don't know if that's intentional)

All Mordor unit in War of the Ring mode (tested on War in the South map)  doesnt cost any treasury whatsoever. This mean by the start of my second turn on the overworld map I can have a full army of Morgul riders, orcs, trolls etc without having any farms at all

In the good campaign first mission you can't build rivendell archers despite the game telling you. The archers that arrive as reinforcements are iirc said to be lorien archers but are actually dunedain. Some gobbos units seem to be able to somehow fly over the big river in the middle (probably some weird paths walkable to them)

Hello I love this mod.

Bug ls when defending a fortress map/Territory owned by ally. For example, Minas Tirith owned by Gondor ally and player defending with hero troop garrison. Ally is disabled/missing in real battle and in auto resolve. So in real time battle. City gates are disabled/dissapeared. City is empty, no one owns the fortress.
I believe this would be fixed if in the world map developer adds back a build slot again on the fortress maps.

Good campaign, Dol Guldur map (7th mission), Mordor counterattack: when the countdown reaches `0:00`, nothing happens (there is no Mordor army)... You are basically stucked and cannot advance through the mission...

⁠bug-reports  Playing War of the Ring as Gondor (Historical) full amount of teams. Able to build unlimited blacksmith in game, builder does not disappear after finished.

Angmar Campaign

Mission 3 Rhudaur

1.In the Northern Anorian Fortress is a hole in the wall
2.The Smith building is the Gondorain one not the Arnorian Smith
3.The Arrow Tower in the Wall dont Fire Arrows on me
4.The Anorians dont Recruit any new units in the Fortress
5.The Death Animation of the Arnor / Gondor Catapult is bugged in Campaign and Skirmish but in skirmish its a other animation.In Campaign the dying crew getting treearms for example.
6.When you destroy a Catapultbasement the Catapult dont getting destroyed.

Angmar campaign

Mission 2 with Rogash: the mission doesn't end even after all ennemies has been killed.

Mission 5 in North Down :
The camera don't allo us to see the entire map and force us to find peaces of palantir in places we don't see.

Also a lot of saves got corrupted in my games, saves tend to be buggy.

I'm not sure if this has ever been reported but here are several issues i had with the good campaign in Edain Mod

1. Campaign 1 (Rivendell):
Elrond's House does not retrain fallen heroes
2. Campaign 2 (high pass and Goblin King)
No issues besides a small pet peeve of the 2 Lothlorien Archer reinforcement with Haldir only one of them is fully upgraded
3. Campaign 3 (Drogoth/dragon mission)
Drogoth will sometimes attack the middle space with the signal fire but will freeze out and cannot be damaged until the final encounter in the throne room
4. Campaign 4 (Gray Havens)
The dwarven builder can only build one building before it is rendered unavailable (alternative provide an outpost slot with a dwarven buildpots coded in or make it into the old vanilla builder). Also Lindon Guardians dont have a limit and the library in gray havens only have the first upgrade tier. 
5. Campaign 5 (laketown)
6. Campaign 6  (Dale and Erebor) same builder problems with Campaign 4
7. Campaign 7 (Dol Guldur)
If you go with Imladris outpost the Library only has the first tier upgrades. The Hall of Warriors and Dwarven Siege Workshop built by the Dwarven builders does not build any units (also have the same builder one building limit problem), Mirkwood Builder does not build any buildings, the Mordor counterattack was bugged (no Mordor army come after the timer was up)
