You rather he'd added Blackjack and Hooters? :PI thought I'd give my own inner poet a shot. Turns out it wasn't too bad, since you seem to know where I'm coming from xD
You rather he'd added Blackjack and Hooters? :PI'M MAKING MY OWN LOTR TRILOGY! WITH BLACKJACK AND HOOTERS! :D
One of the best alternative endings. :DxD sauron said jesus xD XD
I have found some clever and unique stuff from Silmarilion, if you haven't already seen this:

Yes, Varda indeed was second in power and creator of most powerful&beautiful things (powerful in means of good). And about that Manwë, I presonally NEVER liked him. During reading Silmarilion, I often went to rage, while riding some of situations in which Manwë acted like disoriented child. That guy wasn't worthy of the main position, and always gave the impression of unconfident character.
P.S. Btw, nice analysis Walk. :)
Walk, my friend, I really think you deserve some place in edain team as theoretic consultant or something like that. :)

There is no doubt you understand this matter better then me in general.
There is no other person which could compare with complexity of his character! He was unique, I don't say he was right or wrong, simply in general he is very complex for analysis. :)
Yes! Brunhild should join ET. xD
You are welcome. :) ;)
I will also say it was unadvisedly act from Fëanor!
You are welcome. :) ;)
I also like Fëanor, I will start maybe some day. I really don't remember too much right now, I read book few years ago, and I believe if I read Simrilion again, experience will not be the same, so I say maybe one day I will start discussion at your Annals of Aman thread. :)
*Fell of my chair*thanks for motivation ealendril :)
Abslute great idea, thumbs up!
Wow, I even didn't know something like that exists! :oyes you're most welcome my dear, also the one that uploaded the video in youtube already stated that if someone wants his reaction removed, he will remove it, but i guess these people wanted to record themselves so they could enjoy and share their funny reactions with all the fans of the hobbit :) , and honestly they made me re-live the whole experience when we first heard of the hobbit going to be released , i was so exited, and each time i saw a new trailer i just couldn't hold myself and wished if the movie was already there, it is really funny and great memory, but it is a shame peter jackson will never make another middle earth movie ( he said other movies could be made, but not my him or his team :( )
I'm glad that I am not in this video! :D ;)
Thank you! :)

thank you my dear, it is always a great thing to have funny people around :D :DNice videos. ;)
It was interesting to see that kind of reactions again. :D
whether it is theoden the king of rohan or denethor the steward of gondorThose eyes on position (4,3) were the most difficult to recognize. :P
xD xD xD xD WEE MUST JOIN THE METAL!!!!!!haha saruman was always good at singing, he got a nice voice :) ,after all he was gifted in speeches, i found some fan made trolling funny songs
every battle of Middle-Earth VS Westeros would be won with Ancalagon alone :DIndeed. That blondy's pet was almost mortally wounded from some spears and knives. Smaug is impervious to everything but a certain type of arrows shot on a certain single weak spot [ugly]
i think i've even read that the Author of Fire and Ice even said that none of his dragons were a match for Smaug (atleast the Movie Smaug)... and Ancalagon is a few (thousand) times worse...
It's remarkable. Really nice cover. :)this is really a sad song yet an angelic beautiful voice, it would have made me cry if they inserted it in the death of thorin
Maybe someone from the Edain team could ask her for permission - in order to use it in the mod.
[...]the World is just tiring and sorrowful for me ;)That's because you don't care about beer :P
@DieWalküre:
Well, but don't you'd have to be an Elf (or ringbearer) to take a ship across the sea? [ugly]
YOU DONT LIKE BEER ??!! :o
That was... nicely done. Only transitions between scenes (like between Gandalf & Radagast talk and orcs marching out of Dol Guldur) could be cutted better i think. But it's only details, movie is still done nicely. ;)i think of cutting the one with orcs marching out of dol'guldur since it has nothing to do with the white council, but the scenes between gandalf and radagast are very important , they play a very good role and since they are fundamental to the white council, i am pretty sure i would never think of removing them, i may even think of adding more, if they ever appeared in the EE ;)
Haha Sean never comes back!!! [uglybunti] [uglybunti]in Game of Thrones he will...
Haha Sean never comes back!!! [uglybunti] [uglybunti]in Game of Thrones he will...
yea he dies there too xDI didn´t say that he does not die. I said he will come back ;). Or might come back...
Beg your pardon? [ugly]Well... it won´t be Sean Bean to be honest, but Ned Stark will return if you trust the rumors... in both the book and the TV series.
Actually it should be Glorfindel.
i saw this awesome artwork and i said to me self i need to shear itAn amazing piece of artwork indeed. ^^

- The Silmarillion: Chapter 23 Of Tuor and the Fall of Gondolin -
Many are the songs that have been sung of the duel of Glorfindel with the Balrog upon a pinnacle of rock in that high place; and both fell to ruin in the abyss.
But the eagles coming stooped upon the Orcs, and drove them shrieking back; and all were slain or cast into the deeps, so that rumour of the escape from Gondolin came not until long after to Morgoth's ears. Then Thorondor bore up Glorfindel's body out of the abyss, and they buried him in a mound of stones beside the pass; and a green turf came there, and yellow flowers bloomed upon it amid the barrenness of stone, until the world was changed.
Yupp. A few pictures of this deleted scene survived, for example one of Lorien Elves inspecting a couple of shot down Goblins.

As a fan of both, I'm not sure what to think about this:As a fan of both; a servant of the Dark Lord, and a loyal subject of the Empire, I approve this! [ugly]

Even though it only deals with cruelty and blood, as your tastes consist of :DDon't bash on my Witch-King, he was really useful to the whole "ushering in a new age of darkness" and "making the west fall" :P. At least all the way until he got killed by a grammar loophole and a hobbit.....
Sauron is officially the best fantasy villain of all time!
Top 10 Fantasy Villains
Picture of Impladris is really nice. :) Like position and angle of camera. xD
I don't understand why are two sacred trees placed on that rock, and why is bellow them canyon?
Are some similar description from lore correlated with that kind of interpretation?
Lately, I found these sweeties on reddit. ^^
I too don't like so much this interpretation, as I always preferred a 'gigantic' and holier perspective of the Two Trees :)Well they are definetly gigantic, considering the tiny buildings right next to them in the hilltop. ^^
Sadly agree 100% :(

That's the difference between makeup and cosmetics over CGI. Real costumes will always, ALWAYS be better than CGI when it comes to things like that.
That's the difference between makeup and cosmetics over CGI. Real costumes will always, ALWAYS be better than CGI when it comes to things like that.Due to Gollum having a completely different physique than a more or less humanoid orc, the comment doesn't really apply. :D Those were just made in a computer because reasons, not because I'd be impossible otherwise. BTW: Personally, I don't see CGI as a problem, there are just too many examples of utterly great computer effects which would look strange at best if created via a practical effect -nevertheless, I totally agree with the picture's basic premise.
Due to Gollum having a completely different physique than a more or less humanoid orc, the comment doesn't really apply.
But good CGI is Gollum, PS4 CGI is Azog.Honestly I don't really see a quality gap between those two in the movies. Both have great light reflections, muscle movement, and acting power.
not sure if this is the right place to put this, but most of the "Edain Mod Feedback", I think, would be for serious discussion about the mod, and this is, well, more silly.I'll show myself out, thank you, but not after taking the etymology nerd of 2016 award with me. At least Professor Tolkien would be proud of me, lol.
This might already be on there but I'll try to convince everybody that they're looking at this the wrong way:
A great find xD

New Epic Rap Battles of History, this one was between Tolkien and Martin (guy who writes Game of Thrones, for those who don't know). I really enjoyed it, and in my honest opinion Tolkien won the battle hands down. :D
It's almost a tie imo, even if I prefer Tolkien a thousand times :D

I've never needed something so much before...
I was always excited about a Thor 3 movie, since he has kinda underused potential, but now im a bit sceptic.
Now all these things were achieved for the most part by the counsel and vigilance of Mithrandir, and in the last few days he was revealed as a lord of great reverence, and clad in white he rode into battle; but not until the time came for him to depart was it known that he had long guarded the Red Ring of Fire. At the first that Ring had been entrusted to Círdan, Lord of the Havens; but he had surrendered it to Mithrandir, for he knew whence he came and whither at last he would return.
‘Take now this Ring,’ he said; 'for thy labours and thy cares will be heavy, but in all it will support thee and defend thee from weariness. For this is the Ring of Fire, and herewith, maybe, thou shalt rekindle hearts to the valour of old in a world that grows chill. But as for me, my heart is with the Sea, and I will dwell by the grey shores, guarding the Havens until the last ship sails. Then I shall await thee.’
Black heart, scathed, which liberty is meant to choke,
Barred by nasty peaks, chained and covered by smoke,
The Dark Lord elected it as his fell seat, raging the mountain of fire, vomiting fumes,
A desolate waste it was rendered, poisoned and marred, cursed realm where lie silent tombs.
There was once a fair city, raised as a stone-made sentinel and blessed by the moon. A true guardian of the grand realm of Gondor, last remnant of a glorious lineage of great kings. Alas, the stronghold was set on fire and assaulted by the very foes it was supposed to keep at bay. Black legions swarmed through the gates and claimed possession of anything they managed to seize. But such sin was not the worst tragedy of the case, for a wicked sorcerer bewitched the mighty tower at the heart of the settlement and cast a wicked spell of tyranny. Thereafter, brightness was no more and the previous radiant nights turned into infinite days of desperation under the thick shadows of the near peaks. The agony and horror of its one-time joyful dwellers shall forever haunt the forlorn spoils of the fortress, while her twin-city lies on the slopes of the opposing mountains, ever-watchful and cautious...
In 410 d.C. Emperor Honorius sent a letter to the main cities of Britannia urging them to provide for their own survival. With this message, which has gone down in history as the "resurrection of Honorius", the emperor sanctioned the definitive Roman abandonment of Britain. Most of the citizens present in the region decided to stay on the island by strengthening their defenses. There was in fact no safe place to escape: ferocious hordes of barbarians already raged in Gaul, in Ispania and even in Italy. But for mysterious reasons the ancient Roman city of Calleva Atrebatum, located in the present county of Hampshire, was completely abandoned. Some scholars speculate that the main cause was the outbreak of the bubonic plague, which exterminated the population in a short time. Calleva Atrebatum became a ghost town, a heap of cursed ruins from which to turn off. Several legends of spirits that infested the site arose and for a long time nobody dared to settle there. But in 1785 a simple English peasant, wandering around the fields around the cursed city, found a rather unusual ring. This was in gold, much larger than a normal ring, and was engraved with the writing (in Latin) "Senicianus alive in the god". For about a century no more was known, until some archaeologists found a tablet in the surrounding area, bearing a bleak curse: "For the god Nodens. Silvianus lost a ring and donated half of his value to Nodens. Among those who bear the name of Senicianus no one is allowed health until he returns the ring to the temple of Nodens ".
It seems that the ring belonged to such a Silvianus, who saw him steal from Senicianus and then decided to hurl a curse on it, invoking the ancient Celtic god Nodens. The only way to break the anathema, for the thief Senicianus, would be to bring the ring back to the sacred temple of Nodens.
In 1929 the head of the team of archaeologists, Sir Mortimer Wheeler, communicated the outcome of his discovery to a friend, a certain J.R.R. Tolkien. In all likelihood the history of the Roman ring of Silvianus was the main source of inspiration for the famous opera "The Lord of the Rings".
