Companions of Edain,
another year of our journey draws to close - and it wasn't an easy one for this fellowship. The road was often paved with obstacles, especially because we had to say farewell to several of our oldest members.
But this just makes us all the more grateful to see that so many of you are still standing by our side even when times get tough! We were humbled and amazed by all your supportive comments following our State of the Team 2017 (https://modding-union.com/index.php/topic,35074.0.html) update - and now, your votes have propelled Edain among the Honorable Mentions for Mod of the Year on Moddb.com (http://www.moddb.com/groups/2017-mod-of-the-year-awards/features/players-choice-mod-of-the-year-2017) once again!
As you know, we won first place in 2015, so we can no longer place among the Top 10. However, the Honorable Mention is still a very important distinction: It shows that Edain is still among the most popular mods, even if the rules say we can no longer occupy a spot in the top list!
For this, we are deeply grateful to all you! It warms our heart that so many of you are still with us on this journey.
We'd also like to congratulate our fellow modders of the Age of the Ring team for taking sixth place - we're always glad to see more mods proudly uphold the Battle for Middle-earth banner!
After some hardship, we're looking into the future with renewed confidence. Although we lost many companions in 2017, we also welcomed strong reinforcements like Joragon and Elendil. We feel well prepared to present you all kinds of exciting new content next year.
We wish you and the entire BfME modding scene a great 2018!
