I'm going to post this to resuggest something I already did somewhere, I don't remember where, maybe on Moddb. I think a member of the team said it could be cool but not sure anymore. Anyway, I suppose posting here will bring it more visibility.
So, if you remember, in BFME 1 there was that mission in Evil campaign at Cirith Ungol where you had to feed Shelob with Orcs until she joined you and, as a lover of spiders, I found this functionality amazing and also very fun. Now in Edain 4.0, Shelob was removed from Misty Moutains and given to Mordor as a spell, which makes more sense, but that also means that Shelob was no longer a permanent hero and, coupled with the fact that it's the only spider hero, I always found it very sad.
But I was thinking that bringing back that map mechanic if possible would be both an awesome way to profit a bit more from Shelob while staying lore-friendly and a nice particular add to that map.
Maybe the possibility could also be extended to all Evil factions...

I like this idea. I would make it a Mordor only easter egg on that map, similar to how Isengard has the one on Fords of Isen 2. Something like run a group of orcs to a specific spot and then get shelob after she eats them. I haven't played on that map in a while but I think her cave is still on it.

In the past we had specialised spellbooks for certain factions on some maps.
I guess this would be an awesome solution for this map:
Shelob is always there as a neutral very powerfull creep.
For Mordor her spell is changed on this map to Sacrifice for Shelob.
This spell is used on Orcs and turns them into dead bodies in a spiderweb. As a result the player gains temporary controll other Shelob, but can always sacrifice more Orcs to increase the time Shelob stays under his controll.
