Welcome friends of the Edain!

We open our doors for the first LPS Cup!
This tournament occurred in the first stage 16 or 32 (depending on the crowd) players. These will be drawn in 1v1 matches where the winner gets to the next round. The tournament is played in the latest version of Edain.

Pair draw in the Live Stream:

The winner of the Cup deserves honor and glory, he will be remembered as the first winner of the LPS-Cups in history. Whether there are prizes for place 1-3 will be announced later.

The tournament take place in the period from 19.03. until 23.04. . Exact times will follow, we prefer the evening.

19.03. -  26.03.   16th finals
26.03. - 02.04.    8th  finals                                 
02.04. - 09.04     Quarterfinals
09.04. - 16.04      Semifinals
16.04. - 23.04.     final / 3th place Match

Streams with commentators, and the Replay recording are also planned. Exact rules (maps, etc.) are explained in the group draw stream.

The registration deadline for the tournament is from
13.01. until 13.03.

Here is how you switch between 4.3 and 4.2.1:

For English Players /Für Englische Spieler

Move the following files from the 4.2.1 archives into the following folders and overwrite the existing files there:

These files belong into the Rise of the Witch-king folder:

• ___edain_maps.big
• ___edain_apt_widescreen (ONLY when playing in a widescreen resolution)
• __edain_apt
• __edain_data.big
• __edain_apt.big
• __edain_apt_widescreen.big
• __edain_textures1.big
• __edain_textures2.big
• __edain_german.big
• __edain_w3d.big
• __edain_music.big
• _____voice_english (found in the 4.2.1 archive in the English subfolder)
• _____english_ini (found in the 4.2.1 archive in the English subfolder)

These files belong into the Rise of the Witch-king folder/folder (they are found in the 4.2.1 in the English subfolder:

• English.big
• englishpatch201.big

This file belongs into the base Battle for Middle-earth II folder:

• asset.dat

You are back to Edain 4.2.1! Don't forget the tournament fixpatch as well. Before you switch back to 4.3, you will have to delete the tournament patch manually.

To switch back to 4.3, simply run the 4.3 installer again as normal. It will automatically overwrite all the old files.

Für deutsche Spieler/For German Players

Ihr müsst die Dateien aus dem 4.2.1-Archiv in die folgenden Ordner schieben und damit die der 4.3 überschreiben:

Diese Dateien müssen in den Aufstieg des Hexenkönigs-Ordner:

• ___edain_maps.big
• __edain_data.big
• ___edain_apt_widescreen (NUR wenn ihr in einer Widescreen-Auflösung spielt)
• __edain_apt
• __edain_german.big
• __edain_music.big
• __edain_terrain
• __edain_textures1.big
• __edain_textures2.big
• __edain_w3d.big

Diese Dateien müssen in den "Aufstieg des Hexenkönigs/lang"-Ordner (liegen im Archiv unter "Deutsch")

• englishpatch201.big

Diese Datei muss in Schlacht um Mittelerde 2-Ordner:

• asset.dat

Nun habt ihr wieder Version 4.2.1! Vergesst nicht, ebenfalls den Turnierfix einzufügen. Diesen müsst ihr manuell wieder löschen, bevor ihr zurück zur 4.3 wechselt.

Um zurück zur 4.3 zu wechseln, lasst einfach erneut das Installationsprogram der 4.3 laufen. Es wird automatisch die alten Dateien überschreiben.

Looks like the file is corrupted, I can't extract it. :( I've downloaded it twice though.

Yes. If you put it in the rotw folder there will be massive bugs.
