I've uninstalled twice and made sure I have the latest version, I don't know what is wrong, please help
The system cannot find the file specified
-
Does the error appear when you try to start the game?
Does Rise of the Witchking work without Edain or is it just Edain Mod that isn't working?
-
I play aotr and it works fine, it seems to only be when i try to open the edain mod
-
What exactly is the error message you're getting? Try to describe it as precisely as possible.
Did you make sure to disable 2.02 and enable 2.01 before launching Edain?

Oops, something went wrong...
Exception message: The system cannot find the file specified

Please also post the log
Now as for what I did before, all I did was download and update the mod, literally downloaded it yesterday, last night. I have told it via the switcher to go to 2.01 and it says it's been applied. As for the log not sure if I should post all of it as it is a lot but that is the message typed out exactly
-
And this error message happens at what point? When you start the game? When you start the launcher?
Does the game crash or does it not start at all?
-
When I press the button to play, it definitely moves to 2.01 because AOTR no longer works unless I set it back, it doesn't start at all, I press play and within 5 to 10 seconds that message comes up
-
Try launching the game through your desktop shortcut.
If you have been using different mods in the past, the best way of getting rid of all kinds of problems is a clean re-install of RotWK, not just Edain. Sometimes some files are getting left over and then mess with the new mod. You can also check your VirtualStore (<<[...]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king>> or a similar path) and delete any files in there that might be causing problems.

Okay, thanks, will try that, in all honestly though, while edain is good I'm not sure it's worth all that extra work, everything is working fine but it
-
I feel like there's part of the sentence missing^^
Something I forgot to ask before - since you mentioned you usually play AotR/2.02, do you start the game with a cd or in a different way?
-
for the original it's meant to say but not edain
As for aotr I played with dc on my windows 8 pc but I recently downloaded it via:

onto my windows 10 pc
