Titel: Game Crash 0x00007b

I have played Edain 4.4.1 before on this pc as well as my laptop on Windows 8.1. However. I just replaced my hard drive with a brand new blank one on Windows 7. I can install both games just fine, but whenever I go to open them, I receive the 0x00007b error. When I get this error, it doesn't even make a "My The Lord of the Rings, Rise of the Witch King files" folder. I can manually create these folders and include the options.ini file with the correct code, but I still get the same error. I have tried fresh installations of both games and even updated my direct x files, and visual c++ files as someone suggested. I have tried to run in compatibility mode, and still no luck. I have an AMD machine, if that makes a difference. I use the Smoking Man no cd image as well as the Special Edition.  I'm very confused, and need some help to get back into the game. Thank you.

I fixed it! You have to go to "Uninstall a Program" and Repair your Microsoft Visual C++ 2013, then update Direct x 9 through the June 10th runtime download (DSXETUP.exe) Restart your PC and it should work. Of course you'll have to add options.ini after if you get the insert cd error, but it worked for me. Hope this fixes any problem anyone else is having.

Also use the latest version of the mod, not 3.8.1 as you did. It is not supported anymore.
