Greetings, Companions of the Edain!
Today, we released another small fixpatch for the version 4.8.4 that addresses bugs and issues that were reported to us in the last three weeks since the release. We made a few tweaks to Dorwinion, reducing its toxicity in teamgames where it could easily surpass the cp limit. Simultaneously, we want to make it easier to access all of its elite units. We also added new voices both for the English and German version of Edain - big thanks to the voiceactors again! You can find more information about the changes and bugfixes in the lists below.
General- Defected units can no longer be decomissioned
- Goblin creep fighters damage reduced by 25%
Map- Extra outposts added to Mirkwood (4p)
AI- AI will now recruit a mix of Melee and Ranged Galadhrims
- AI will now recruit Earthammers
Dwarves- Narin has a new German voiceset
- Aldron's Fist of Dorwinon
- Moved to level 5
- Cooldown reduced by 50%
- Respects command point limit
- Only summons 1 purple guard
- Aldron's Blessing of the Vine moved to level 7
- Dorwinion Emissary
- Short cooldown increased from 60 to 75 seconds (Loyal Defenders, Establish Vineyard)
- Medium cooldown increased from 150 to 180 seconds (Wine for Steel, Decree of Chivalric Privilege)
- Long cooldown increased from 200 to 210 seconds (Quiet Accords)
- Loyal Defender cooldown after researching Chamber of Commerce increased from 75s to 90s
Imladris- Cirdan's Master Craftsman range doubled
- New german voice for the Dunedain Ram
- New horse model for Arwen
Lothlorien- Spear Elk Riders' Charge of the Greenwood is now activated without a target
- Spear Elk Riders' new ability: "Expert Rider" - At level 3, Charge of the Greenwood cooldown is reduced by 33%
- AI can now recruit Elk Riders and Spear Elk Riders
Misty Mountains- Trolls and Werewolves vision range reduced from 450 to 350 to reduce aggro range
- Moria Goblin Pikemen now deal poison damage when trampled
- Moria Chieftain's Skull Totem is unattackable but now only lasts 60 seconds
Mordor- Trolls and Werewolves vision range reduced from 450 to 350 to reduce aggro range
- New german voice for the Orc Sniffer
Rohan- Ring Theoden can now summon Heralds
- Ring Theoden's Eorl Wisdom now additionally discounts infantry
- Gamling's Forceful shot now deals 200% damage against structures
General- Chance of hordes breaking into individual units reduced
- Some descriptions fixed
- The Hidden One's Nuke is no longer blocked by water areas
Map- Tauriel can be properly recruited from Mirkwood maps in Freebuild
AI- AI can now summon Haradrim multiple times
Angmar- Hwaldar and the Bonebreaker now properly only gain the buff from Scorched Earth
Belfalas- Gondor Fortress pink banners fixed
Dwarves- Dorwinion Vineyards now properly only gain the Festival Market buff if it has been researched
- Bofur Chain Quake only collides with target and structures
- Dwarven hero recruitment conflict fixed
- Chamber of Commerce now correctly costs an upgrade in the Dorwinion Outpost
- Iron Hill Ring Dain abilities adjusted to be the same as regular Dain
- Erebor Dain no longer loses Mithril if he claims the Ring
- Dorwinion Purple Guard now correctly show their heavy armor texture
- Durin can now only select Dwarven units as his scouts

Misty Mountains- Attack animation of Dol Guldur and Gundabad archers corrected
Mordor- Starting orcs are now correctly tracked as part of the task
- Defense Banner no longer boosts production of citadel
- Attack animation of Dol Guldur and Gundabad archers corrected
Rohan- Eomer Spear Throw only collides with target and structures
- Three Hunter command point corrected
- Theoden's Herald speed fixed
- Gamling's Forceful Shot now fires more reliably
With this fixpatch done, we are quite happy with how Dorwinion turned out and appreciate the positive feedback about it. Looking ahead, we have to say that our next update will probably take a longer time before we can release it. Our patches following 4.8 mostly contained smaller and medium-sized projects, whereas we now return to a big project: The next new faction. We hope to post updates and let you know more about it very soon, but a completely new faction takes a lot of work and time. Models must be made, concepts must be designed, code must be written, the AI must be taught how to use the faction, and much more; so we want to ask for a bit of patience. The good news, however, is that work has already started behind the scenes, and to shorten the wait, we leave you with this teaser:
