Greetings everyone
,
I haven't done any mapping for quite a while now, so I thought let's give it a try again. Altough I mostly made regular skirmish maps, my specialty lies in making mission maps who are fully scripted, like in the campaigns. I decided to start with a series of maps, where you command a great army to fight against another great army. Many of my maps will become like a Total War battle, but in the future I will also make ambush missions or sieges who will have a background in the lore too. It will be all about fighting, and (mostly) no building
!
I will list all my maps within spoiler tabs:
Good evening everyone ,
Today I'm releasing the mission map which I had announced recently; "Battle Under The Trees - Old Forest Road". I had this mission in mind for quite some time, but I didn't know exactly how it should proceed. I wanted to include Tauriel in the War of the Ring, and by making it an Evil mission I got exactly what I needed: idea's and motivation. Finally a Battle Under the Trees mission not played by the Good forces eh, and as a cherry on top, you get to discover Tauriel's fate .
In any case here is the download link: http://www.moddb.com/games/battle-for-middle-earth-ii-rise-of-the-witch-king/addons/battle-under-the-trees-old-forest-road. You can find installation instructions in the first post!

Hello everyone!
The first mission map is the Battle of Mirkwood, between the armies of Mirkwood and Dol Duldur. Command Thranduil and his Royal Army, and defend your homeland from the forces of Evil! The battle took place during the War of the Ring, where Sauron sent forces from Dol Guldur into Mirkwood to destroy Thranduil and his Elves. My map will focus on this battle .

I don't want to add too many screenshots, or else I would spoil the fun . There is also a special map-only unit for this map, which I want to thank the Edain team for adding it to the mod ! These are the Mirkwood Spearmen!:
I would also like to thank LordDainIronfoot and CragLord for testing my map and providing support, these guys are the best!

P.S. I have received complains about the poison effect that is dealt by the Dol Guldur units, they don't look very nice during a huge battle. If other people complain about it too then I will show you guys how to remove it. Note of warning though! I can't remove the poison effect via map.ini, so I can only remove it from the whole game itself. This means that your Dol Guldur units permanently won't deliver poison damage anylonger.
Greetings people ,
Today I'm releasing my next map in the Battle Under the Trees series of maps. This time the battle focusses on the Lothlorien front. Lothlorien, too, was attacked by the forces of Sauron during the War of the Ring. Sauron's forces of Mordor and Dol Guldur attacked the woods three times, at one point the Goblins of the Misty Mountains also joined the battle. My map will focus on that joint attack of Evil forces. Take command of the Galadhrim as they are defending their homes against the forces of Evil!

Credits for the map goes to EA games. I altered it a bit so that it fits into the mission. Also big thanks to Lord Dain Ironfoot for testing the map .

Good evening everyone ,
I hereby publish the first mission in the "Resurrection of Angmar" series, starting in the location of Angmar itself. This will be the first mission of the series, and counts as an intro for the coming chapters. I always liked the idea of having the remnants of Angmar unite under one banner for one last time, that's why I included such events in my War of the Ring mission maps . This will also give Rivendell a much bigger role in the war; one that it deserves...
In any case, here is the download link: http://www.moddb.com/groups/edain-community-content/addons/resurrection-of-angmar-angmar You can find the installation instructions in the first post!
Credits for the map goes to EA, I just added some stuff to it. Also thanks to Lord Dain of the Iron Hills for testing the map before releasing it .

Good afternoon everyone ,
Today I'm releasing the first mission of the Invasion of Rohan serie: The battle at the Fords of Isen. This map, however, requires some sound files from BFME1, which I included in the download. Please read the Readme carefully on how to add those files, because the mission is rather unplayable without them. Don't worry, adding those files can be done within a minute!
It is important that you learn how to add these sound files for future maps, because when I'm releasing a map like the Siege of Minas Tirith, then I will also add Theoden's unused speech files that can be found in BFME1. I will try to make the charge of the Rohirrim as beautifull as it was portrayed in the movies; it will be a shame if you guys couldn't enjoy that!
In any case here is the download link: http://www.moddb.com/games/battle-for-middle-earth-ii-rise-of-the-witch-king/addons/invasion-of-rohan-fords-of-isen#downloadsform. You can find installation instructions in the first post, but also in the README file that is included in the download!
LordDainIronfoot and The_ClocheFixer have tested the installation procedure and the map itself for me; many thanks to you guys !

Okay now read very carefully, these are the installation instructions for adding the maps to the game and setting it up in the skirmish menu; my mission maps have a little different procedure compared to regular skirmish maps.
Go to your "My The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king Files", you can access it by pressing "Windows-key" and "R" at the same time, this will open the "Run" option. Type "%appdata%" in the search box without the quotemarks, and you will get to the hidden Appdata folder, and you will see the "My The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king Files" folder inside of it. Open that folder, and then open the folder called "Maps". Put the map in that folder, and you can now find the map in the skirmish mode.
Special missions are marked red! These maps require sound files from BFME1, which I have included in the download. Please follow these steps in adding the sound files to the game (can also be read in the README files that I included in the downloads):
- If you open the RAR file you just downloaded, you can see that I uploaded 3 different things. A folder called "data", the map itself, and a text file. Extract everything on your desktop. Place the map itself into the maps folder of the "My The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king Files".
- Now download FinalBig from here: http://www.wagnerma.de/yinger/showdownload.php?detail=1
- You don't need to install anything, just extract the downloaded files into your main game folder (i.e. C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king).
- Now open the "_____english_ini" file with FinalBig, which you can find in your main game folder. Don't forget to back-up this file if anything goes wrong (though I suspect even a monkey can't mess it up, it's that easy)!
- You will see that the FinalBig editor has opened the file. Click on the tab "Edit" and then on "Add directory". Now click ONCE on the "data" file you just extracted, and press "OK" (FinalBig also notifies you that you are editing the file, and asks if you wish to proceed. Just click on yes).
- On the left side of the FinalBig editor is showed a list. Scroll all the way down, untill you find the second-last line called "data/ini/voice.ini". Click on that line. On the right side a whole bunch of codes are being displayed. Here you must also scroll all the way down. Now open the text file I included in my RAR file. Copy all the text, and paste it on the bottom of the ini file that is being displayed on the FinalBig editor. NOTE: You cannot paste the text with your right mouse button, in order to paste the text you must press "Ctrl" and "V" at the same time!
- Now you can save the file by clicking on the tab "File" and then "Save". If you close the editor it asks you again to save. Just click on yes.
- That's all! Now you can play my map in it's full potential! Have fun!
For Battle Under the Trees series: REMEMBER! The player must be Lothlorien, and in the "Old Forest Road" mission the player must be Mordor! Pick NO second player in the Skirmish Menu, or else it will result in a quick victory (it sounds nice but you haven 't even done anything !). Also the player must select the bottom start location in the Skirmish menu, that's the place where the Elven (or Orcish) armies are placed.
For Resurrection of Angmar series: REMEMBER! The player must be Angmar in the Evil missions, and Rivendell in the Good missions. Pick NO second player in the Skirmish Menu, or else it will result in a quick victory (it sounds nice but you haven 't even done anything !). Also the player must select the top start location in the Skirmish menu, that's the place where the Angmar army is placed.
BFME1: For Invasion of Rohan series: REMEMBER! The player must be Isengard in the Evil missions, and Rohan in the Good missions. Pick NO second player in the Skirmish Menu, or else it will result in a quick victory (it sounds nice but you haven 't even done anything !). Also the player must select the top start location in the Skirmish menu for the Fords of Isen map, that's the place where Isengard starts.
I hope you like my maps, and I surely will make more similair maps in the future! Ofcourse I am always open for suggestions, so if you have an idea on how to make the battles even better, don't hesitate to tell me
!
I also made a poll. I want to see which battles people would prefer. I don't guarantee though that the series of battles with the most votes will get priority over all the others, but I might do it far sooner then I have planned to.
I included a list of planned battles. Note that "E" stands for Evil, meaning that the player will play the Evil Forces in this scenario. "G" stands for Good, meaning that the player will play with the Good Forces in this scenario:

) and a little description of every map. Thank you very much The_Necromancer0!
