Do you give the ring to Boromir ?

Hello Edainers,

The question is in the title : when you get the ring with Gondor, do you sometimes (or always ?) give it to Boromir ? I have to admit that I don't really see the point of giving the ring to him when Gandalf the White is so godlike with it ^^

I find giving the Ring to Boromir very useful. While there is a timer it is a great way to get him to level 10 quickly. Not only that but you can summon very powerful units which have a great leadership. Once he comes close to death I will bring him back to the base and give the Ring to Gandalf. The end result is 6 battalions of elite units, a boromir level 10, a Ring Gandalf and all for the cost of 1800.

Wow. I didn't think about that but that's a very effective way to use him!
I knew the units he summoned were strong but I always had in mind the fact that he would die...

You totally changed my mind about him in less than 10 lines

Also, once Boromir has the Ring, all the troops you already have AND recruit during this time are equip with Forged Blade and Heavy Armor for free (Archers don't get fire arrows).  This lets you save a lot of money, as well as letting you get an Army of Upgraded Tower Guards incredibly quickly.  So I would recommend doing a lot of recruiting while Boromir has the Ring

As Final thoughts I'd like to say that he is more useful since he is on a timer because it allows you to make full us of both ring heroes without putting the ring in danger. If he wasn't on a timer I'm not sure I'd give it to him as often.
