Antique Lyrics of Arda
Walküre:
Elven lyrics concerning the one-time chief of the Istari and of the Wise as a whole.
Austere, industrious and in the affairs of the World interested,
He leads the old Wizards and of the Wise is the head,
Men show awe and kings his counsel seek,
For he's versed in speech and much desires to influence.
Walküre:
The Grey Pilgrim, loved and everywhere warmly welcomed.
The old Pilgrim boasts many names,
Which he was given in shires and lands faraway,
Loved and revered, for adventures and quests he would fain endeavour,
His careful eyes over this grey Middle-earth watch over.
Walküre:
Radagast, pleased by and admirer of anything that nature has gifted to the World.
Nature, green forests and wilderness he fancies,
For one of the People of Yavanna they say he was,
Animals rejoice at his speech and the noblest beasts him have befriended,
Although his true duty at times he seems to forget, bewitched by trees and kind-hearted creatures.
Walküre:
The mysterious Blue Wizards, about whom many tales are told by the people of Middle-earth.
Two wizards surrounded by mystery,
Very few know their names and secretive powers,
Rumours have been spread throughout every corner of the continent,
That somehow they disappeared in the East and there tribes speak of arcane cults, of which none is certain nor clear.
Walküre:
The Istari.
Little did everyone know of who they were and where they had come from,
Five old men that fortune had brought to us via unknown routes,
Across the blue they sailed and thither always turn their gaze,
Journeying they greatly love, as well as the furthest peoples visiting,
Their modest fashion could conceal a mystery, along with arts whose nature we couldn't unveil.
