We are looking for new testers!

Greetings, companions of Edain!

After releasing 4.5 and the subsequent bugfixes, we are focusing on the creation of a new version again. After losing many testers during the development time of 4.5, we once again need your help. We are looking for new beta- and balancetesters that can support us during the development of the next version (and hopefully beyond that). If you are interested, you can apply for one of these spots by sending us a private message.

As betatester it is your job to thoroughly check all new features for bugs and report them to us. In addition to that, you give us feedback on how you like the changes, how they feel ingame and whether they create a good atmosphere.

As balancetester you focus on the multiplayer in the new version. Is the gameplay smooth? Are certain units or heroes too powerful or not powerful enough? Do different factions have equal chances of winning a multiplayer match?

Through your feedback you have the opportunity to actively contribute to Edain and make the next patch the best one yet.

Both positions require two things: Time and motivation. You must have enough time to playtest regularly, share feedback and contribute to discussions. This includes more than playing just for fun, as you may need to specifically pay attention to new elements - for example, you might need to let heroes fight against each other to determine how strong they are in direct combat.

Last, but not least: Alle contents of the beta and all subjects of internal discussions are to be treated as secret. They are under no circumstances to be shared publicly.

First of all we want to say how grateful we are for all the people reaching out to us and offering their support as a tester. We received far too many messages to answer them all, but we tried to give as many of you a chance to become a part of our testing team as possible. It means a lot to us that so many of you share our passion and want to help us. We decided on the following users to join the testing ranks:

Additionally, there are other people who will gain beta access in the upcoming weeks and months. Two days ago the BattleZone Cup, the biggest Edain tournament of all time, came to a conclusion. In an epic five map thriller of a Grand Final, luke was able to edge out Elendils Cousin 3. Grades for the first place, winning 3:2 and crowning himself champion. Congratulations for an amazing run from us! In the match for third place, Fubuky was able to beat Goodfella 2:1 and secure himself a place on the podium. We got to see lots of tense games, watched players come up with new and unique strategies even in the last map of the finals and saw new players step into the spotlight. As we announced, the eight best players of this tournament will gain beta access; since several of these eight are old testers, new testers or even team members that leaves us with three users:

We also want to extend our gratitude to the organisers for making all this entertainment possible in the first place. They will also gain beta access and take a look at the upcoming version.
