Ja das geht, der Ordner in dem SuM2 installiert wurde sollte jedoch nicht für mods genutzt werden damit das addon noch weiterhin fehlerfrei funktioniert.
Einzige Ausnahme hierbei ist die asset.dat die von Edain hier rein installiert wird. Diese ist so aufgebaut das sie das Originalspiel nicht beeinflusst.

Ein Freund vonm mir hat ein Problem, er wollte sich den Edain Mod runterladen, der Download wurde bei etwa 300 MB abgeschlossen obwohlö die Datei deutlich größer ist.

Ich hoffe das mir jemand helfen kann.

Hello,

I am having issues with installing edain mod. I do not have any other mods installed and I have middle earth II (1.06) and middle earth II rise (2.01). When I try to run the Mod install I get an error.
Says "error opening file for writing: "..." click abort to stop install....

What do I do to fix this. Sorry English is my primary language.
I tried running as admin and still did not work.

Can you please make a screenshot of the error?
Otherwise:
Have you tried to redownload the mod?
How big is your installer? It should be 804 MB. If it is smaller the downloaded version is broken.

My file size is 804 and I have downloaded it about 5 times I thought it was corrupt but it was not at least from what I have read.

Hmm... that's really curious, it should work without problems. Could it be that you don't have enough free space on your computer?

Actually I just ran it one more time for the hell of it and now it is working not in admin mode. Thanks for the help. Still do not know why it was not running before but as long as it works I have no problem.

One last problem I got it running but I am missing the hero creation button in the main menu.

Theres no CaH-Button, 3.8.1 disabled that, but 4.0 will support CaH again, so you have a little bit (the release is in the next 3 month).
