The Ring button in the citadel mention that Gandalf if he takes the Ring and become Gandalf the Challenge Master has his abilities doing more damage (that's Ok), and recharges faster :
He does not recharge his abilities faster than Gandalf the White, his wizard blast in both cases recharge in about 25 seconds, and others abilities are the same I think (even if I did not test the 2 lasts).
Yes if his spells recharge faster he will become even more fun, no doubt about it.
